Paediatric Staff Nurse

(5 mins walk from Earls Court underground or 7 mins walk from Gloucester Road underground)
Permanent, Full time – 37.5 hours per week (Days & Nights)
Paying from £34,130 per annum depending on experience, plus enhancements
Role Overview
The role is based at our internationally renowned private Cromwell hospital which is in the South Kensington area of London. Our Paediatric Outpatient Department has an average of 80 patients a day covering most of the specialties. Our Paediatric ward consists of an 11-beds which could expand as well. These are all short-stay patients from medical cases to surgical cases such as orthopaedics, ENT, urology.
We are looking for a Paediatric Staff Nurse who wants to work as part of the multi-disciplinary team delivering a high standard of holistic family centred care to children and their families.
As a Paediatric Staff Nurse, you will be providing the highest standard of nursing care through ongoing assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of safe and effective care.
What you’ll do:
1. To provide the highest standard of nursing care for the children and their families at all times.
2. Effective communication within the Multi-Disciplinary Team.
3. Engaging in and promoting multi-disciplinary teamwork alongside: Specialist Doctors, nurses, interpreters, and therapists.
4. To act as an advocate for the child and family, providing them with information and support.
5. Understand the principles of delivering prescribed treatment safely to achieve positive patient outcomes.
6. Participating in Research/Evidence based practice groups to enhance and maintain the delivery of care.
7. Competency displayed at the bedside, patient assessment, clinical skills, and documentation.
8. To ensure quality care is given, by being familiar with agreed hospital policies.
9. As a professional you are personally accountable for your actions and omissions and must always be able to justify your decisions.
10. Work in accordance with the Nursing Strategy to meet the Hospital and Nursing objectives and requirements.
11. Maintaining strict patient confidentiality.
12. To assist in ensuring the safety of the ward, actively participating in clinical audits.
13. Work in accordance with NMC (Nursing and Midwifery Council) guidelines.
