An exciting opportunity has arisen for a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to join a company based in Stockton-on-Tees. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a high level of accuracy, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Perform daily banking transactions and monitor cash flow Record and post cash transactions in Sage & Excel Maintain and update aged debtor reports Chase outstanding payments through reminder letters and calls Process and input purchase invoices into Sage Post general ledger journals Perform bank reconciliations Assist accountants with end-of-month financial data Requirements: Experience in an accounting or finance-related role is essential; however, training can be provided in specific areas. Ideally studying towards or holding AAT Level 2 or 3 Strong knowledge of Sage, Excel, and CRM systems Ability to manage multiple tasks with accuracy and efficiency Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Strong organisational skills and attention to detail Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team Location: Stockton-on-Tees Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, 1-hour lunch break) Salary: £25,000 to £30,000 per annum (DOE) Reports to: Commercial Manager (who also functions as the Finance Manager) If you are looking for an opportunity to develop your career in finance and work within a supportive team, apply today
