NCH&C are forming abrand new teamto support our Inpatient Wards care for patients with Mental Health diagnosis and concerns.
This team will receive training to enable our Healthcare Support Workers to feel confident they can deliver and cascade the best practice to care for this group of patients.
You will work with our teams in NCH&C, our dedicated Mental Health nurse, patients and their families; to deliver care plans that give the best possible patient experience and outcomes.
And, to support you, you will be able to devise your own working pattern with the team, that does not have to try and fit with the normal clinical shift patterns. You will be based on a "home" ward but be expected to travel to different locations in Norfolk to support teams with patients that need your expertise.

Communication
1. To welcome patients, visitors, and relatives to the clinical area, providing assistance, support and information where required. Being aware of barriers to effective communication and respondappropriately.
2. To answer the telephone, when necessary, in a polite courteous manner and respond appropriately within remit and pass on enquiries to the RegisteredNurse.
3. Communicate effectively within the nursing team, multi-disciplinary team and other departments to ensure that patient care is well planned andcoordinated.
4. To contribute to the handover of the care of patients within the team under thedirect supervision of a RN maintaining confidentiality at all times.
5. Report and record using the trust’s systems (Datix) of all incidents, accidents, and complaints to the senior nurse onduty.
6. Use the System One and ICE and other trust systems as required by the clinicalarea.
