Job Position:NPD Lead Department: NPD Reports to:Head of NPD Hour:40 hours per week Avondale Foods is a leading food processing company of fresh and chilled products supplying leading retail businesses throughout the UK. The purpose of this role is to create new recipes and successfully transfer them from the kitchen to the factory, ensuring that they meet agreed customer specifications through an efficient manufacturing process. Key Responsibilities To interpret briefs in line with customer expectation and company business plans To be knowledgeable with current market trends and factors affecting consumer choice To adjust recipe/ processes to suit existing systems or create new systems in line with business needs. To deal with numerous projects, taking them from concept to launch in accordance with strict critical path with all associated documentation. To manage and assist key accounts and be in full control over customer presentations (internal & external) and the preparation of products, recipes, presentation booklets and photographic portfolio To liaise & attend meetings internally & externally to perform duties and aid business development Assist with projects to facilitate future NPD To lead by example by adhering to Company general policies, i.e., Food Safety, Health Safety, Absence, etc. To undertake other appropriate duties as deemed necessary within the scope of therole Essential Criteria Third level food science/ technology or food related qualification NPD experience within food manufacturing IT literate proficient in MS package.
