EXCITING OPPORTUNITY – DEPUTY HEADTEACHER
A specialist school in Newbury, Berkshire is seeking a Deputy Headteacher to join their leadership team on a permanent, term-time only basis. This role is ideal for an experienced educational leader who is passionate about delivering high-quality education and supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
Position: Deputy Headteacher
Location: Newbury, Berkshire
Salary: Up to £60,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Contract: Permanent, term-time only
Requirements: QTS and relevant experience in SEMH education
The successful candidate will:
1. Lead curriculum development and behaviour support across the school.
2. Monitor student progress to ensure they achieve their full potential.
3. Work closely with the multidisciplinary team, families, and external stakeholders.
4. Support and uphold high standards in education, care, and clinical programmes.
5. Play a key role in school leadership, working alongside the Headteacher and senior team.
This specialist SEMH school provides a broad and balanced curriculum for students aged 6-19. The school offers outdoor learning opportunities, including forest school, farm experiences, and horse riding. It is within a commutable distance from Swindon, Oxford, Andover, Basingstoke, and Reading.
