Description Constable North West Complex Economic Crime Team North West Economic Hub Complex Economic Crime Team North West Regional Organised Crime Unit (NWROCU) Warrington The NWROCU is looking to expand its Complex Economic Crime Team; to deliver additional capacity and support the NWROCU’s response to Fraud, Money Laundering and Bribery and Corruption. The Complex Economic Crime Team work closely with other teams within the Regional Economic Crime Unit to provide expertise specific to Economic Crime. The post is open to PCs and DCs, any candidates appointed as PC will be expected to undertake the PIP2 pathway. The North West Regional Organised Crime Unit –NWROCU is a collaborative multi agency response to tackle serious and organised crime across the North West Region. The NWROCU is responsible for identifying, disrupting and dismantling serious and organised criminals causing the most significant harm across the NW by providing specialist and operational support, research and direction on strategic, tactical and emerging issues. The NWROCU facilitates Regional Coordination and Tasking, which then informs and influences decisions allowing the effective deployment of resources. The promotion of collaborative working with key partner agencies and interoperability is necessary to achieve this and a 4Ps focus is key to NWROCU’s performance. The NWROCU leads the policing response across the region posed by serious and organised crime in Cumbria, Lancashire, Merseyside, Cheshire, Greater Manchester and North Wales. The NWROCU provides the vital link from national capabilities and expertise to local policing and knowledge, enabling the North West region to deliver the Government’s Serious and Organised Crime strategy and to protect communities from harm. Applications are invited from Constables who are able to work effectively in a fully integrated team of officers and staff. The post is subject to an initial secondment period of 2 years, with extension subject to performance and continued funding. Successful applicants working within the NWROCU will be subject to MV (Management Vetting) and SC (Security Clearance) prior to taking up post. NWROCU is located in the Warrington area, close to good public transport links and the motorway network. In cases where the commute to NWROCU is in excess of applicant’s current commute, excess travel will be paid.
