What you will be doing:
An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Project Manager to join a Top Tier Contractor who are delivering vital improvement works to the Thames Water Framework.
As a Senior Project Manager, you will be managing a portfolio of work, with up to four site-based Project Managers reporting into you. Each project could be up to a value of £20m.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure a safe working environment.
* Manage a portfolio of work.
* Create and build a team with the right culture and attitude.
* Ensure that the principles of CDM are applied and relevant legislation is complied with.
* Embed a F.R.E.D.I.E Culture.
* Engage with the designer to ensure a safe, buildable, and timely design is achieved within the detailed design phase.
* Plan, prepare, and facilitate collaborative workshops as required.
* Interview, select, and onboard staff in line with the resource profile for the Scheme.
* Work with the Commercial Team to select the best Supply Chain partners.
* Discharge all pre-commencement and regulatory requirements prior to work commencing.
* Plan and prepare for delivery of the Scheme throughout the project lifecycle.
* Appoint a Temporary Works Coordinator and ensure all Temporary Works requirements are understood and designed in a timely manner.
* Establish site offices and compound.
* Champion the use of innovative technologies and techniques.
* Take ownership of risks and opportunities in conjunction with the Risk Manager.
* Lead the Commercial Team to manage costs, maximize cash flow and profitability, capturing any changes in scope.
* Ensure incidents/accidents are thoroughly investigated and learnings implemented.
* Take ownership for the delivery and quality of work to the required standards.
* Manage Construction Teams and Supply Chain partners to ensure delivery of the Scheme in line with the agreed Budget, Programme, and Scope.
* Ensure adequate resources to fulfill the programme including demobilisation and redeployment of the team at the end of the project.
* Engage with the Performance Team to ensure all CPF/BSC scoring is completed and evidenced.
* Ensure all internal and external reporting is completed as required.
* Manage, monitor, and review direct reports and team performances, providing encouragement and discipline as required.
About You:
* Office 365 expertise.
* Prince 2 or APM certification.
* HNC/Degree in a relevant field.
* Strong knowledge of CDM 15.
* Excellent knowledge of NEC/IChemE contracts and commercially astute.
* Promote a positive safety, quality, and FREDIE culture.
* Proven experience in successfully managing multiple teams and contributing to their professional development.
* First-class project management capabilities with a track record of delivering to client's expectations.
