Engineering & Maintenance Manager – Energy from Waste

MC Technical Recruitment are currently recruiting for an Engineering & Maintenance Manager to join a energy from waste power station in Bristol. This plant processes over 400,000 tonnes of waste per year generating enough electricity to power around 95,000 homes. The Engineering & Maintenance Manager will be responsible for managing and coordinating the maintenance function, including a team of multi skilled technicians, ensuring maximum plant availability with minimal downtime.
As the Engineering & Maintenance Manager you will be responsible for:
Managing and directing a team of mechanical, electrical and C&I technicians to ensure minimum plant downtime and maximum availability
Planning and executing plant shutdowns/outages
Managing the departments maintenance budget
Oversee the management of the maintenance schedule
Develop and maintain records of plant maintenance including work orders, PPMs and planned and unplanned outages and inspections
Overseeing on site contractors
Deputising for the Plant Manager when required
To be considered for this role you should have:
A minimum of a HNC in a relevant engineering discipline, ideally mechanical
