This is an exciting opportunity for experienced Mental Health Nurses to work within the CAMHS Crisis Liaison/Single Point of Access Team based in Tonteg Hospital.
The CAMHS Service has a number of bases across the locality which includes Tonteg Hospital, Carnegie Clinic in Rhondda, KHHP in Merthyr and Princess of Wales Hospital, Bridgend.
Main duties of the job
The post holders will manage their own caseload and provide timely assessment, risk management and follow up intervention for children and young people presenting in crisis related to mental health, e.g., acute psychosis, eating disorder, or intent to inflict harm upon themselves and/or others.
To provide triage and assessments of all referrals into the service, establishing the most appropriate signposting and allocation of the referral to meet the needs of the young person.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Qualifications
Knowledge
* Family Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Eating Disorders, Self Harm, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Borderline Personality Disorder, Experience in teaching, Extensive knowledge in normal and abnormal child development, Extensive knowledge in child and adolescent mental health issues.
* Evidence of CPD relevant to CAMHS.
Experience
* Appropriate post-registration experience. Experience of working within CAMHS or a therapeutic post e.g., eating disorders, challenging behaviour. Experience of mental health assessment and implementation of a range of evidence-based therapeutic interventions. Experience of working in partnership with other agencies. Ability to manage a caseload. Working knowledge of health, social services, education, and the voluntary sector, together with the relevant legislation regarding children's mental health. Management skills.
