971CW Project Mechanical Lead Hinkley Point C, Somerset Permanent, Full-time £90,000 Annual Salary plus car and accommodation allowance Job Title: Project Mechanical Lead Description & Background: The client is delivering the M&E fit-out of the Operations Service Centre (OSC) at Hinkley Point C. This impressive nine-storey building will house all support functions required to operate the power station, including offices, medical centre, data centre, warehouse, workshops, labs, and canteen facilities. The building will accommodate 350 workers once operational and provide access control to the Nuclear and Conventional Islands. We're seeking an experienced senior mechanical project manager to lead the delivery of mechanical packages through to final handover. Principal Responsibilities: Execute delivery of mechanical packages for the OSC building Lead and manage the handover process and safety file completion Establish and oversee implementation of engineering systems and documentation Ensure compliance with H&S legislation and Company standards Drive innovative methods, materials selection, and safe systems of work Apply practical engineering principles and calculations Manage and coordinate delivery teams in a regulated environment Oversee quality control and technical compliance Required Qualifications & Experience: Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent First degree in Engineering Discipline or industry recognized technical qualification (NVQ level 4) Proven experience delivering large highly regulated projects (MEP value £15m - 100m) Nuclear/Regulated Environment experience advantageous Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale regulated projects Strong background in engineering systems and documentation control Salary, Location & Details: Site-based at Hinkley Point C, Somerset Permanent, Full-time position £90,000 Annual Salary Car/Travel Allowance Accommodation Allowance This role offers an exceptional opportunity to join a leading MEP contractor on one of Europe's largest nuclear construction projects, with extensive training, development, and long-term career opportunities.
