Senior Production Planner
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000
Location: Cumbria (Hybrid Role)
Alexander Steele is working with a leading FMCG manufacturer to recruit a skilled and proactive senior production planner. This is a hybrid role, offering flexibility with a mix of remote and on-site work. In this role, you will manage production planning, inventory control, and financial processes, working with internal teams and global co-manufacturers to ensure business and customer commitments are met.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Production Planning: Develop and manage an 18-month production plan, ensuring optimal efficiency and timely order placements.
2. Stock Control: Manage raw material requirements and monitor finished goods stock levels to minimize disposal and financial impact.
3. Financial Reporting: Prepare reports on stock, production outputs, and financial performance for senior management.
4. Budgeting & Forecasting: Contribute to budget creation and monitor performance to provide recommendations.
5. Excel Expertise: Use advanced Excel skills for forecasting, modelling, and reporting.
6. Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to align on production and inventory needs.
7. Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety standards and practices.
8. Product Quality & Authenticity: Take responsibility for product legality and compliance.
Skills & Experience:
1. Advanced Excel skills
2. Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities
3. Attention to detail and proactive mindset
4. Experience in production planning, material supply, and new product development (NPD)
5. Excellent communication skills
