Introduction Our client is a leading Consultancy Company seeking an experienced Security Architect who has designed and delivered secure solutions to Defence, National Security and Public Sector clients. They are looking for an Architect with a Consulting background, who understands public sector design challenges and can work with clients to overcome them You will be CISSP (or similar) qualified, have relevant client experience and want to work day to day with clients to solve their problems. Working Patterns – You will have a local base but UK wide travel to client sites is expected between 2-4 times per week. Key responsibilities Be responsible for the design of technical security solutions within Defence, National Security and wider public sector clients. Develop architecture patterns and approaches for new technologies and solutions within a secure environment. Lead technical engagements by bringing together technical security SMEs within Identity, Security Testing and Privacy to solve business problems. Develop strong relationships with clients to understand their security policy frameworks and security landscapes. Work with vendors and third party suppliers to utilise new technologies and ensure external systems and data is secure. Provide specialist technical advice, recommended approaches and security controls for customer visions. Develop and maintain security architectures, ensuring alignment with business goals, industry standards, established patterns and regulatory requirements. Skills & experience Experience in a similar role within Defence/National Security/Government, operating within a Consultancy capacity and providing advisory services to clients. CISSP or equivalent, as well as in-depth knowledge of security frameworks and standards eg., ISO 27001, NIST, CIS). A strong track record of designing and implementing security controls and/or solutions. Experience leading technical teams and consulting engagements. Knowledge of how to secure cloud based infrastructure. Knowledge of Government Security Classification Policy, Government cyber requirements related to Defence and Security e.g. Secure by Design, JSP 440.
