Tasks
What You’ll Do
* Own and evolve our backend: codebase, infrastructure, data pipelines, and architecture
* Dive into our mature Java/Spring codebase, understand it deeply, and make it better
* Ship new features that power real-world recruiting workflows
* Refactor and modernize where needed—without breaking things
* Manage production infrastructure and optimize for performance and cost
* Move fast and collaborate directly with the founder and product team
Requirements
This Role Is For You If You:
* Have experience taking over and improving mature codebases
* Know Java + Spring Boot like the back of your hand
* Are comfortable balancing speed with stability
* Can make smart tradeoffs between refactoring and shipping
* Thrive in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment
This Role Isn’t For You If:
* You only want to work on greenfield projects
* You need perfect specs or heavy documentation
* You're not comfortable being the go-to for backend and infra
