Technical Operations Manager | FM Service Provider | Hybrid Working Role | Multi Site Contract | £55,000 + £4,800 Car Allowance
My client is currently recruiting for a Technical Operations Manager to work for a leading FM Service Provider. This position is a Hybrid working role (2 days a week in the office in Reading). The contract has sites all around the M25 which is covered by a mobile engineering division.
Duties:
1. Oversee the progress of the planned maintenance and remedial works, while ensuring accurate costs and time management working with the Managed Fund Team.
2. Ensure all works are completed to the satisfaction of the customer and regulatory authorities.
3. Monitor risk through appropriate risk management including but not limited to Commercial, H&S and Operational risks, highlighting to the Head of Operations when relevant.
4. Work in conjunction with Area Managers, Supervisors and Service Team to monitor maintenance performance and ensure continuity and compliance across the Thames Water estate.
5. Own and maintain initiatives to identify and implement ways in which services can be improved to maximise value and minimise cost, risk, and downtime.
6. Provide full end to end management of engineering processes with service delivery improvement plans and innovation in place aligned to risk management deliverables.
7. Effective use of CAFM, EMMA, AMT as per our standard operating procedure.
8. Keep up to date with new innovations in the marketplace and suggest improvements.
9. Ensure that sufficient quality standards are always being maintained.
10. Ensure the contracted services are delivered to the agreed specification and standards.
11. Ensure a timely response to all requests, fully satisfying customer requirements.
12. Ensure implementation & compliance to client and customer Safe Systems of Work.
13. Ensure implementation & compliance of document control.
14. Ensure all PPM, reactive and extra works are completed in line with contract SLAs, KPIs and customer requirements.
15. Oversee the management of all logbooks (where appropriate) ensuring they are always up to date and compliant.
16. Lead the Account Behavioral Safety culture and drive a culture of interaction before prevention.
17. Drive a culture of engineering efficiency with reduced travel time and increased daily tool time.
Requirements:
1. Technically qualified, minimum HNC/HND, in appropriate engineering discipline.
2. Thorough technical knowledge of Hard FM, plus relevant working experience of asset management, delivery and maintenance of all building services including critical services.
3. Experience working in controlled and critical environments.
4. NEBOSH General Certificate or working towards.
5. Ability to demonstrate knowledge of statutory regulations associated with all Building Services and Permits to Work systems.
6. An experienced operational and maintenance leader of business-critical service systems in a 24/7/365 environment.
7. Proven record in managing diverse engineering and operational teams within a highly regulated environment.
8. Good working knowledge of SFG20.
9. CAFM management experience.
10. Demonstrable Electrical/Mechanical AP Status either current or recent.
11. Strong analytical skills including root cause analysis and process mapping.
12. Excellent Technical Report writing skills.
13. Experience conducting technical investigations within critical environments.
Salary & Package:
Salary: £55,000 + £4,800 Car Allowance
Hours: 08:00 - 16:30 Monday - Friday
2 Days working in Reading Office, 2 Days from home, 1 Day on sites
