Job Description
Scope :
We are seeking an experienced and innovative leader to drive the vision, strategy, and execution of our Digital Substation product line. The Product Line Leader will be responsible for shaping the portfolio's direction, ensuring competitive differentiation, and enabling growth in global markets. This role requires a unique combination of technical expertise, market knowledge, and leadership capabilities to align cross-functional teams and deliver impactful solutions for our customers.
The Digital Substation product line leader drives the overall business strategy of the Digital Substation solution as part of the GridBeats portfolio, focusing on market demand, product management, and technology differentiation.
The Digital Substation portfolio includes innovative protection relays, bay controllers, merging units and substation gateways as well as the software toolkit to configure, manage and deploy overall solutions.
The individual will have direct responsibility over the product management and the product development of a portfolio that is expected to grow 10x in revenues over the next 4 years, leveraging a team of domain experts and optimizing R&D allocation.
The leader will report directly to the GridBeats Leader overseeing the industrialization, go to market strategy and commercial development of the portfolio, interacting with Grid Automation supply chain, regions, customers, and industry leaders.
The leader will also interact within the broader GE Vernova, Electrification segment and Grid teams to maximize collaboration, cross businesses initiatives, impact, and performance.
Major Responsibilities:
1. Develop customer connections, understand industry trends & growth opportunities for related segments
2. Define Digital Substation and central protection and control strategies, products/solutions roadmap, and business cases
3. Drive technology differentiation and roadmap, in coordination with GA CTO Organization
4. Manage Products & Solutions life cycle, in coordination with GA regions and Global Supply Chain
5. Partner with GA regions to define marketing, commercial growth, delivery, and services strategies
6. Build efficient organization structure and diverse teams. Develop talents and capabilities to support individuals’ development and maximize business performance, create a culture of innovation and accountability
7. Develop internal and external relationships to identify, lead or support cross-portfolio initiatives and projects
8. Contribute to Grid Automation long term strategy definition and execution, in coordination with GA CTO Organization
9. Propose partnerships and acquisitions to meet business growth initiatives.
Qualifications / Requirements:
1. Master’s degree from an accredited university or college.
2. Min. 15+ years of experience in product management, business management, technology development.
3. Outstanding knowledge protection and control products and solutions for T&D.
4. Comfortable in taking initiative in thought leadership, innovation and creativity.
5. Strong business & technical acumen. A strong interest in business development, commercial aspects is an essential component to be successful in this role.
6. Strategic thinker with hand-on problem-solving mindset ready to take decision also under uncertainty.
7. Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, and influential skills.
8. Domain knowledge in Electricity Transmission, Distribution, Industrial, Automation markets.
The base pay range for this position is 153,800.00 - 235,000.00 USD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a 15% variable incentive bonus annually. This posting is expected to close on 5/5/25.
*The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
