The postholder will work alongside the Director of HR to be the subject matter expert in Resourcing, including workforce planning, Medical Staffing, and Business Intelligence, with the ultimate aim of improving our People Practices. The postholder will develop and deliver a strategic response to the Trust's recruitment, retention, and resource challenges. They will take strategic responsibility for ensuring we have a Medical HR service that meets the needs of our services to deliver safe patient care.
They will be the organization lead for analysis and provision of people data, as well as the Trust lead for the Electronic Staff Record. Finally, the postholder will lead on our people planning approach, shaping organizational strategy and contributing regionally and nationally, working collaboratively with Human Resources, Education and Development, Finance, and Operational colleagues. In line with the People and Culture Strategy, the post-holder is responsible for overseeing strategic workforce planning and supporting the efficient use of our people resource.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Be a role model for compassionate and person-centred leadership as a key senior member of the Trust.
2. Deputise for the Director of Human Resources as appropriate.
3. Participate in HR, locality, and corporate committees/meetings within the Trust as appropriate and represent the Trust at relevant external meetings, providing highly specialist advice as required.
4. Contribute to the Trust's People and Culture Strategy in line with strategic and operational business plans, and deliver HR priorities, leading the development and implementation of defined projects/areas of work as required.
5. Take a lead role in ensuring the Trust maximises the efficiencies and benefits available from its workforce information systems, particularly the Electronic Staff Record, Trac, Allocate for Medics, and NHS Jobs systems.
6. Develop a good understanding of business aims and objectives and through the provision of highly specialist advice and proactive support, contribute to the development of business and care group strategies relating to workforce resourcing, flexibility, and planning.
7. In line with our People and Culture Strategy and NHS requirements, be responsible for ensuring our policies are fit for purpose.
8. Ensure our Trust Values and equality, diversity, and inclusion are embedded into our approach and delivery of recruitment, selection, and staffing arrangements.
