An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Nottinghamshire Police as a Fleet Assistant we have 2 positions one at our Joint Force Headquarters & one at our Workshop based at Chilwell.

Main purpose of the role:
To provide an administrative support role within the fleet department assisting with day-to-day operations. The role is varied and fast paced and a candidate who enjoys working within a busy environment will enjoy the roles and responsibilities of being in a dynamic department. Working within a busy environment, a high standard of service delivery is expected.
Main Responsibilities
* Handle calls in relation to fleet issues, giving advice and guidance.
* Input data into fleet management systems accurately including job cards, manufacturer check sheets, downtime records.
* Assist with supplier management ensuring vehicles are updated correctly and monitored effectively.
* Liaise with internal departments and external suppliers to effectively co-ordinate processes and monitor logistics.
* Raise financial requisitions and process invoices from suppliers to the finance department.
* Assist with KPI monitoring with data provision using internal systems.
* Assist with co-ordinating operational policing vehicle requirement for events and operations, sometimes at short notice.
* Suggesting and making improvements to processes
The Ideal Candidate
* Must hold a full UK drivers' licence.
* Possess a sound knowledge of IT skills including Microsoft Work, Outlook, Excel and Teams.
* Be able to work effectively within a team.
* Clear communication, both written and verbal.
* Attention to detail needs to be demonstrated showing a thorough approach to all aspects of the role.
* Resolve queries effectively and seeking collaboration when needed with other depts
* A knowledge of working with a fleet environment is desirable but not essential as full training and support is provided.
* Must possess a flexible approach to demands within the role.
* Must be committed to providing a high level of service and care to all aspects of the role.
Hours - 23 hours per week (Monday to Friday) at each location, days, and times to be determined with successful applicants.
