Due to our continuous growth, Corrigenda is looking to recruit enthusiastic and dedicated commercial gas engineers to carry out a broad range of planned and reactive gas tasks across Surrey and surrounding regions.
Key Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
1. Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across the estate (within capabilities and training).
2. Work independently or as part of a team to meet required deadlines and contract performance standards.
3. Work flexible hours to suit business requirements.
4. Be on out-of-hours call-out rota and attend emergency mechanical repair works as required.
5. Maintain a safe working environment for yourself, end users on site, and the general public.
6. Escalate issues to Supervisor/Contract Manager immediately.
7. Liaise with site staff to gain access to sites and rooms to carry out maintenance tasks.
8. Assist contract supervisor in producing repair quotations.
9. Any other tasks required by the company within skill set/experience.
Minimum Requirements / Qualifications:
Essential:
1. Domestic / Commercial gas certification CCN1, CENWAT, CODNCCO1, CDGA1 and CIGA1.
2. Recognised Health & Safety training.
3. Good written and verbal communication skills.
4. Ability to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction.
5. Be able to operate SMART devices and complete electronic documentation.
6. Full UK driving licence.
7. Pass DBS / Police background checks for working in schools / Police stations.
Desirable:
1. NVQ 2/3 in relevant Mechanical discipline (or equivalent experience).
2. OFTEC registered technician or knowledge/experience working on oil-fired appliances/systems.
3. Unvented water systems.
4. WRAS Qualification.
5. Electrical safety training.
6. IPAF / PASMA qualification.
