Are you skilled in mechanical work and ready to expand your expertise in an industrial setting? Thalia Waste Management is looking for an Industrial Mechanical Fitter, to join our Waste Treatment Plant near Knaresborough. This role is ideal for someone with a mechanical background and a drive to learn, whether you’re early in your career or bringing solid experience with a desire to grow further.
As an Industrial Mechanical Fitter, you’ll work hands-on with our mechanical maintenance team, maintaining and repairing essential equipment like conveyor belts, pumps, and valves. With support from experienced engineers, you’ll gain practical skills and deepen your knowledge of industrial machinery, all in a role that values your growth.
Shift Pattern:
* Week 1: 8 am - 4 pm (Mon-Fri)
* Week 2: 10 pm - 6 am (Mon-Fri)
Salary: £34,000 + 5% annual bonus

Key Responsibilities
* Assist in diagnosing and fixing mechanical issues on equipment like conveyor belts, valves, pumps, and cranes.
* Perform fabrication work and general workshop duties.
* Support planned maintenance tasks and major plant shutdowns.
* Operate workshop machinery and work on refurbishment projects.
* Maintain high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance.
