With an emphasis on promoting independence, positive behaviour support and vocational skills development. Broom Cottage’s aim is to provide positive, personalised support and promote independence for individuals with a learning disability or autism
Your profile
There are no set entry requirements to become a Support Worker as full training is provided, but there personal characteristics which are essential. We would welcome your application if you are:
1. Caring and kind
2. Cheerful and friendly
3. Willing to do personal care tasks (washing, toileting, etc.) in some areas
4. Resilient, with a ‘can do, anything is possible’ attitude
5. Someone who loves to work in a team, using your own initiative and creativity, but also able to follow procedures consistently where required
6. Someone who enjoys motivating and encouraging others to achieve their goals
7. Committed to inclusion and diversity
