Job Objective
Create an exceptional dining experience for the guests by exhibiting remarkable personal and professional skills and providing exceptional service in a casual and fine dining environment.
Responsibilities And Tasks
1. Provide an extraordinary hospitality experience
2. Ensure beach club and dining room is set and ready for service to the Lovango standard with special attention to assigned section
3. Complete designated opening and closing responsibilities
4. Attend pre-shift in uniform ready to go for service
5. Maintain a neat and clean appearance in compliance with health code
6. Wear a complete clean, designated, wrinkle-free uniform and name tag
7. Warmly greet each guest
8. Help stock service stations and buss trays
9. Help buff silverware and glasses
10. Act as liaison between the service staff and the kitchen
11. Communicate any food issues with the Chef
12. Know the restaurant set up and seat numbers to accurately deliver food
13. Assist in the service and clearing of food as directed by the server
14. Assist bartender with food service to guests
15. Assist in any other aspects of the restaurant as needed
16. Take out restaurant trash with stewards at the end of each shift
17. Maintain cleanliness and stock of expo area
18. Be motivated to stay productive, helpful, and impactful to the guest experience in a positive manner
19. Exhibit exceptional job and product knowledge to provide guests with accurate information in all aspects of food, wine, service, and resort information
20. Exhibit self-confidence to the degree necessary to handle a variety of situations in a positive and professional manner
21. Complete assigned cleaning responsibilities
22. Ensure work is inspected by management prior to departure
23. Proficiently perform all job duties in a fast-paced environment
24. Protect our assets: glassware, equipment, furniture, and fixtures
25. Exhibit a positive attitude when speaking about guests and fellow employees
Policies and Procedures
1. Alcohol awareness program is strictly enforced
2. Ensures all measures are taken to prevent virus and bacteria spread
3. Management is involved in all guest and employee altercations
4. All situations involving illegal substances need to be reported to management
5. Harassment of any type will not be tolerated
6. Complies with all aspects of the Little Gem Resorts Handbook including time & attendance
7. No smoking or vaping near or around guests
Qualifications
1. At least 18 years old
2. Excellent people skills and outgoing personality
3. Team player
4. Maintains a current state health card permit
5. Must be able to work flexible shifts and schedules, including weekends and holidays
6. Must be able to lift and carry at least 50lbs
7. Ability to move up to 150 lbs. with wheeled assistance
8. Must be able to stand, walk, lift, and bend for long periods of time
9. Must be able to demonstrate competency as outlined in the training schedule
10. Must be a service-minded individual with a positive attitude who truly enjoys helping others
11. Must be quick on their feet and adept at handling stressful situations seamlessly
12. Must be computer literate
13. Must be able to handle criticism
14. Must be proactive
Minimum 1 year Food & Beverage experience. High school diploma preferred. Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or any other combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Ability to obtain Food Service Sanitation certification. First Aid and CPR certification preferred. All employees must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance (specific standards available).
Successful applicants will pass a pre-employment background check and must be able to satisfactorily complete the mandatory I-9 Document from Homeland Security.
