Aberdeen based technical leadership position. Office based, requiring full rights to work in the UK.
Provide expertise and guidance in instrumentation and automation.
* Interaction with industry stakeholders.
* Verification of compliance with technical standards and performance criteria.
* Facilitation of lessons learnt through a database, driving continuous improvement of technical standards.
* Verification of engineering methods and tools.
* SUPPORT CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT AND VALUE ENGINEERING STUDIES.
* Familiarity with industry regulations and standards for instrumentation and automation, including ABS, DNV, IEC, ISO, IEEE.
* Cross-functional collaboration with projects and operations teams on ICSS, SIS, Metering, Field Instrumentation, and Actuated Valves.
* Design and selection of equipment for explosive atmospheres, including documentation.
* Proficiency in engineering software such as Aveva is advantageous.
* Certification as a Functional Safety Engineer (TÜV Rheinland or similar) would be beneficial.
* Leadership experience in instrumentation and automation for large FPSO projects, with a deep understanding of project dynamics and inter-discipline interaction.
* Experience in installation and construction, and operational experience to understand system verification and prioritization.
Education and Experience
* Masters degree in Instrumentation & Automation Engineering or related field, or significant relevant experience may be acceptable.
* Minimum 15 years of experience in the offshore Oil & Gas industry, specifically in Projects and Operations phases of FPSO assets.
* Experience with Instrumentation, Automation and Control Systems engineering and design, Telecommunications, and Cybersecurity are required.
* Previous experience working as Principal Engineer/Lead Engineer is required, and Technical Authority/Subject Matter Expert experience is desirable.
Salary: £85,000 - £110,000 per annum.
