We have an exciting opportunity to transition the NHS Supply Chain Logistics services to a new logistics service provider and act as delivery assurance to the business. The role will be responsible for leading the planning and coordination of resources to make sure that services are effectively transitioned into a new providers operation in line with the procured contract. They will need to ensure delivery of the transition of services to the agreed timescales and within budget. Create a collaborative working environment across the existing and new provider to ensure a smooth transition of services with no NHS end customer impact. The individual will be responsible for the coordination activities across projects, suppliers and service teams managed via a project governance framework.
This role is contingent on government approval to proceed with the new NHS Supply Chain Logistics contract.
Every day you will …
Deliver the transitioned services in line with the new procured contract
Manage the transition to budget and report monthly on cost performance
Utilise logistics expertise to continually assure service providers plans and problem solve issues
Use project management governance to ensure the transition is being delivered to the agreed project milestones and tasks are being effectively managed by service providers
Report on transition progress to senior stakeholders and engage with a range of internal and external stakeholders to deliver a successful transition for NHS Supply Chain with no customer service impact

What skills will help you thrive in this role?
Proven experience in a logistics/supply chain management role including contract service transition and change management
Previous experience of leading large scale multi-site logistics transitions
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels, including customers.
Experience in cost control, including budgetary management, resource allocation, and driving value in a supply chain environment.
Proven experience of multi-3PL contract management, including open book commercial contracts, with a strong focus on stakeholder engagement and collaboration.
