About the Role
Join our Nuclear Power Engineering & Technical Solutions team, delivering cutting-edge solutions across the nuclear lifecycle. We are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Engineer to support Energy Nuclear Generation’s operations across the UK.
This role involves leading health, safety, and environmental (HSE) initiatives within project teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and ensuring compliance with high safety standards. You’ll monitor HSE systems, identify opportunities for enhancement, and collaborate with contractors and stakeholders to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide HSE leadership within project teams and promote best practices.
Monitor and report on HSE management systems and performance standards.
Ensure compliance with HSE legislation and champion continuous improvement.
Collaborate with contractors, clients, and team members to maintain high standards.
Manage contractors effectively and conduct thorough accident investigations.
Support project delivery while maintaining a results-driven, team-focused approach.
About You:
Qualifications: HNC in a relevant technical discipline or equivalent; NEBOSH General/Construction Certificate or NVQ Level 3; knowledge of CDM Regulations.
Desirable: Membership in IOSH; IEMA Foundation Certificate in Environmental Management.
Experience: Proven expertise as an HSE professional in highly regulated, operational environments.
Skilled in contractor management, accident investigations, and fostering safety culture.
Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to build effective networks.
