Full time (4-on, 4-off shift pattern), based at our Swavesey depot
We’re looking for a conscientious person to join our team of shunter cleaners, supporting the day-to-day operations at Whippet and helping maintain high standards of vehicle presentation for our drivers and customers.
You’ll be following a 4-on, 4-off shift pattern, working 12 hour shifts from mid-afternoon. Based at our modern depot near Swavesey, your tasks will include:
* Fuelling buses as they return from service and parking safely in our depot
* Setting up our electric buses to charge overnight
* Sweeping and mopping buses
* Preparing our Flixbus coach fleet for service – including cleaning, re-filling water tanks etc.
* Periodic deep cleans across our fleet, including our driver pool cars
* Occasional house-keeping in our workshop
You’ll need to have an eye for detail and be prepared to work outside – we’ll provide all the training, PPE, and equipment needed. You'll also need a PCV driving licence.
£12.44 per hour; due to increase to £13.21 from 1 April 2025.
