Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen as a Cardiology Patient Scheduler. The successful candidate will work 30 hours a week (Monday to Friday) within the Cardiac Physiology Team in Grantham Hospital and provide high-quality administration skills. The team requires an enthusiastic, positive, and hard-working individual to join. The post holder will be responsible for booking patients for their appointments and providing administrative support to the team. Applicants should be able to demonstrate high-quality administrative skills including excellent communication skills, IT skills, and the ability to manage and prioritise their workload.

Main Duties of the Job
* To provide comprehensive administration support - booking our patients into our Cardiology department within ULHT and Community Diagnostic Centre.
* Respond to and deal with queries in a timely manner via different methods of communication such as telephone calls and emails.
* Ensure that the Cardiology bookings do not breach in line with the national waiting time standards.
* Ability to work to short time scales.
* Input and maintain accurate patient data on the Trust's information systems.
* Work autonomously within a team, managing your workload and liaising with the wider admin team.
* Adhere to Trust and Directorate policies and protocols.
* Provide cover for colleagues as required during annual leave and sickness.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* GCSE's Grade C and above in Maths and English or equivalent.
* Experience and training to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
* Computer Literacy and Information Technology (CLAIT).
* Basic knowledge of Medical Terminology.
Experience
* Experience of customer care or working in an office environment.
* Experience of using Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook.
* Experience of working in a reception area; knowledge or experience of NHS working.
Knowledge
* Ability to evidence/demonstrate key values and behaviours in line with the Trust framework.
* Ability to prioritise and organise own workload and work on own initiative.
* Excellent oral and interpersonal communication skills, written and verbally, demonstrating fluency, clarity, and effectiveness at all levels.
* Attention to detail and accuracy.
* Awareness of National and Local Targets including cancer targets.
* Knowledge of hospital and clinical information systems including CareFlow.
