Job summary
Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a full time substantive Consultant in Paediatric Respiratory Medicine to join our well-established and dynamic Paediatric Respiratory Medicine (PRM) team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to play a key role in the delivery and development of specialist respiratory services for children across the East Midlands.
This post is a 10 PA Consultant role and is integral to our ongoing service development, allowing us to maintain a clinic free acute service week model. The successful candidate will join a team of six Consultants and will contribute to inpatient service weeks (including Long Term Ventilation), as well as general respiratory, LTV, asthma, and cystic fibrosis (CF) clinics. There will also be opportunities to develop joint clinics in areas such as ENT, Surgery, Immunology, and participation in the National Ataxia Telangiectasia Clinic. The post also includes complex sleep work and bronchoscopy lists, depending on the expertise and interests of the appointee.
We are a tertiary referral centre offering a comprehensive paediatric respiratory service across Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Lincolnshire, and beyond. The team has a strong ethos of collaborative multidisciplinary working, delivering high quality, family centred care.

The successful candidate will join a team of 6 Consultants. The post will involve covering inpatient service weeks. Clinics will be in general respiratory medicine, LTV, asthma and CF. There will be opportunities, once established in post to take on more joint clinics in e.g. ENT, surgery, immunology and also to contribute to the National AT clinic. Complex sleep work and bronchoscopy lists are also scheduled in the job plan.

Professional Registration Essential
* MRCPCH by examination or equivalent
* Full GMC registration

Qualifications/Development Essential
* Current APLS provider
* Valid BLS training
