The role reports to the Chief Architect and will have a primary focus on the following: Strategy – we have a variety of legacy and cloud-based systems, the successful candidate will work with the architecture team to create the systems roadmap Operational management – the role involves handling the day-to-day operation of the main business systems, organising the on-call strategy and ensuring that systems are available to their SLAs Team management/Leadership – a small group of engineers will need guidance, mentorship and performance evaluation as we grow the team to support the future business. The successful candidate will have experience of creating a collaborative and co-operative work ethic amongst teams, fostering collaboration with multiple parties to maintain a productive environment. Resource allocation/Budgeting – collaborating with our delivery team to plan and allocate personnel, hardware, software and services, to ensure cost-effectiveness of the business systems budget Who you are: Previous experience in a similar role, managing and growing high-performing teams and learning from your failures. The ability to lead and make decisions to push forward. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills allow you to effectively present ideas, influence stakeholders and build relationships. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve technical challenges and make data-driven decisions.
