Due to increased workload we are currently looking for Commercial Gas Engineers to work across London The Gas Engineer will be required to service and maintain building services plant and equipment in accordance with relevant standards, frequencies and safe working practices. To respond to reactive breakdowns, carry out fault-finding and any necessary repairs. All work will be within commercial buildings. Duties 1. Carry out scheduled planned preventative maintenance tasks at our client’s premises as directed by the Company, in accordance with company and statutory procedures. 2. Respond to reactive breakdowns at our client’s premises as directed by the Company, in accordance with company and statutory procedures. 3. Carry out small project work installations in accordance with company and statutory procedures. 4. Timely completion of work task status information and the neat and accurate completion and timely submission of all paperwork related to your duties. 5. Follow company procedures for arriving and leaving our clients premises 6. Develop good working relationships with our clients on site through the promotion of a professional service. 7. To have a ‘can do’ approach to your work ethos. 8. To identify any replacement parts required, obtain costs and order such parts through the company Buyer. 9. Provide support to the Contract Managers and Supervisors as requested 10. Identify and maximise the opportunity to secure additional works Requirements Technical – Good all round technical ability and a working knowledge of a wide variety of Building Services Equipment. Mechanical qualifications Commercial Gas Certification (current or recently expired considered) Full UK driving licence Personal - The ability to work under pressure and to deadlines. Good communication skills, both written and oral. The ability to build professional working relationships with clients and colleagues. The ability to multi-task and be methodical. The ability to read, interpret and fully understand specifications and drawings. Numeracy and literacy skills. The ability to work unsupervised but also to be an active team member. A pro-active approach to problem solving. A good knowledge of all aspects of health and safety within the industry and the ability to implement control measures at site level.
