Playing an important and vital role within the Taymouth Castle Estate. The Food & Beverage Porter is a hugely varied and diverse role acting as a lynchpin in supporting our F&B operations, making sure they have everything needed to perform their daily duties.
Ensuring everything is kept organised and stock levels are maintained throughout the castle and at various key facilities in the outlying areas of the estate. From setup, maintenance, and breakdown of dining areas, private dining rooms and comfort stations. This role requires someone who is organised, is used to coordinating and takes pride in a job well done.

Acts as a support to colleagues within food and beverage by ensuring that all day-to-day requests are completed efficiently and effectively throughout all areas of the castle and key outlying areas, as well as members’ homes situated at various locations throughout the estate. Efficiency in delivering set tasks to ensure everything is kept organised for the service team in readiness of members and their guests’ event.
You will plan the setup, maintenance and breakdown of dining areas, private dining rooms and comfort stations. Preparing and maintaining the departments equipment, tables, chairs, linens, silverware, glassware, and other supplies are clean, polished, and properly arranged.
Collecting and unpacking store items while ensuring that all storerooms are kept clean, tidy, and well organised. Transporting food, beverages, and supplies between kitchens, storage areas, and dining areas efficiently and safely.
Maintaining high levels of cleanliness throughout the dining areas, bars, and storage areas. The organisation and replenishment of supplies of tableware, silverware, glassware, and linens ensuring they are always available for service. Keeping a track of inventory levels and reporting any shortage or discrepancies.
Working closely with and supporting the service team and bartenders wherever needed to ensure that setup of unique events, banquets and private dining rooms are completed and ready in time for our members and their guest’s arrival, ensuring all preparations and service run smoothly.
