Description
A rapidly growing and forward-thinking contractor is looking for a SHEQ Manager to join their department and help support the function during a sustained period of growth, working across a variety of build and civils schemes across the Midlands and beyond. You will play a key role in managing performance and driving the Safety, Health, Environment and Quality agenda across the organisation.
Reporting into the MD, you will be responsible for:
1. Managing systems (9001, 14001 and 18001/45001) and preferably already have an internal auditor’s qualification.
2. Developing risk assessments and method statements and maintaining accreditations.
3. Assisting with PQQs and new tenders.
4. Communicating comfortably from site to board level.
5. Identifying and assisting with the implementation of continuous improvement.
6. Ensuring project teams are proactive, updated, and compliant.
Minimum requirements include:
1. Construction experience (preferably within new build projects) (ESSENTIAL).
2. NEBOSH or NCRQ (ESSENTIAL).
3. Writing project-specific RAMs.
4. Self-motivated and autonomous with an ability to manage a SHEQ department.
5. A desire to develop and progress, promoting best practice whilst maintaining a pragmatic approach.
