This is an opportunity to join a well established, reputable and growing Mechanical and Electrical Installations company. We're based in Staffordshire with the majority of our work in the Midlands. We specialize in delivering high-quality projects across various industries with a focus on Healthcare.
Our projects include but are not limited to Healthcare, Hospitality, Education, Leisure, Retail and office spaces. As we expand our operations, we are seeking a suitably qualified Mechanical Contracts Manager or an experienced and ambitious Project Manager to fill this role and join our team.
Role Overview
As a Mechanical Contracts Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the successful delivery of multiple projects from inception to completion. You'll lead a team of skilled engineers and operatives, ensuring that projects meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
1. Project Leadership: Lead and manage the entire project life-cycle, from initial planning to final handover. Coordinate activities, allocate resources, and ensure timely project completion.
2. Stakeholder Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and other external partners. Effective communication is key to project success.
3. Financial Oversight: Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and ensure adherence to financial targets. Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
4. Collaboration: Work closely with designers, surveyors, and other relevant parties to ensure seamless project execution. Foster a collaborative environment.
5. Health and Safety: Uphold strict adherence to health and safety regulations on-site. Prioritize the well-being of our team and stakeholders.
6. Timely Delivery: Ensure projects are completed within agreed timelines. Regularly review progress and provide updates to senior management.
7. Quality Assurance: Monitor workmanship quality, address any issues promptly, and maintain high standards throughout the project.
8. Technical Support: Provide guidance and technical expertise to the engineering team. Troubleshoot challenges and optimize project processes.
Requirements
1. Experience: A minimum of 2 years as a Project Manager, preferably within the field.
2. Qualifications: Relevant qualifications (SSSTS/SMSTS). Other qualifications in plumbing or pipefitting, or project management are an advantage.
3. Skills: Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills. Proficiency in project management software is advantageous.
4. Flexibility: Willingness to travel as required for project assignments.
