We currently have a vacancy for a Senior Credit Analyst to join our Collections team, based in our head office in Weybridge, Surrey. In this role you will be responsible for credit limit reviews, setting limits, ensuring suitable credit risk migration is in place against trading counterparts and analysing risks for larger non-insured customers. Given the anticipated growth of the Group, the role will extend into supporting Open credit risk requests from our Global office in London, Houston, Singapore and South Africa.
Responsibilities:
* Managing order release process to ensure that orders are released following company policy ensuring that any liability is fully secured at all times.
* Monitoring, approval, and reporting on open account limits.
* Ensuring credit exposure monitoring remains fit for purpose and counterparties remain within limits, for a diverse range of counterparties including; UK sales (Retail, Wholesale, and Fuel cards).
* Managing assessment and approval of Discretionary Limit requests.
* Manage Credit insurance policies, including notifying of overdue accounts and liaising with our insurance broker to obtain required limits for counterparties.
* Claims reporting and handling from an administrative perspective.
* Review and approve potential transactions for credit risk and suggest mitigants and alternative structures reduce/eliminate credit risk.
* Counterparty and industry monitoring for any risks that may impact the credit worthiness of counterparties.
* The role would develop into analyzing counterparty financial performance and producing credit reviews including detailed analysis with a limit recommendation.
* Proposing improvements to limit monitoring and approval processes where applicable.
Skills/Experience Required:
* Credit Analyst of 5+ years' experience ideally with an entity with multiple business streams.
* A good understanding of Credit Insurance policies, including standard terms & conditions and reporting requirements for such policies.
* Solid track record of driving change to processes to ensure they remain best in class.
* Ability to operate in a fast-moving environment, creating and leveraging strong relationships both internally and externally.
Beneficial Skills and Experience:
* Understanding of physical and financial oil trading.
* Ability to assess the creditworthiness of counterparties by analyzing financial statements.
* Understanding of Commodity Trade Finance products such as LC, SBLC, and Performance Guarantees.
* Understanding of Commercial Insurance policies including standard terms and conditions, such as Property Damage & Business Interruption, Environmental, Storage, Public & Product Liability.
