About the Role
As a Senior QA Engineer / Tester, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software platform as well as developing the QA function. You will be the gatekeeper for a seamless user experience, working closely with our Product and Development teams to identify, analyse, and resolve issues before they reach our users.
We're on a mission to deliver exceptional software solutions to the NHS and healthcare industry, and we need a detail-oriented and driven QA Tester to help us maintain the high standards our users expect.
This role is full time and based at our Fordingbridge office. Once you are settled in, there's scope for this role to be hybrid, ideally you would be in the office for three days a week.
Key Responsibilities
Testing Excellence:
* Perform manual and automated testing on new and existing features to identify any defects.
* Identify bugs, inconsistencies, and usability issues across the platform.
* Conduct performance, functional, integration, regression, and exploratory testing.
Collaboration:
* Partner with Product Managers, Developers, and Designers to understand feature requirements and use cases.
* Actively participate in product meetings, including stand-ups, release planning, and retrospectives.
Documentation & Reporting:
* Write and maintain detailed test plans, cases, and scripts.
* Log and manage bugs using tools such as ClickUp, ensuring clear and actionable reports.
* Contribute to product documentation by identifying edge cases and potential user challenges.
Quality Improvements:
* Advocate for quality throughout the software development life cycle.
* Proactively suggest process improvements and best practices to elevate QA standards.
* Assist in implementing and maintaining automated testing frameworks.
Monitoring & Reporting:
* Track QA progress, identifying trends, patterns, and areas of improvement.
* Deliver regular reports to leadership on QA performance metrics and insights.
* Provide recommendations based on observed trends to enhance product quality.
Training & Advocacy:
* Develop and deliver training sessions for internal teams on QA and testing best practices.
* Advocate for quality standards and encourage accountability at every level of development.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
* 3+ years of experience in software testing, ideally in a SaaS or web application environment.
* Familiarity with manual testing techniques and automated tools.
* Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
* Excellent communication and documentation skills.
* Experience with Agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA, ClickUp, or similar.
Desirable:
* Knowledge of healthcare systems or prior experience in the healthcare/clinical software industry.
* Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman).
* Understanding of GDPR, data protection, or other compliance frameworks.
* Exposure to performance testing tools.

* Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
* Open to feedback and dedicated to continuous improvement.
* Adept at managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
