Radio Communications Technician: A Key Role in Nuclear Industry Security
Salary: £39,929 - £43,024 per annum (plus £2,000 South East allowance)
Location: Culham, Oxfordshire
Job Type: Permanent, Full Time (37.5 hours per week)
We are an armed police service dedicated to the nuclear industry, and our vision is to provide a world-class service for the protection of nuclear material and facilities.
The Operational Communications Team plays a critical role in ensuring our front-line officers can communicate with each other day-to-day and with other emergency services in the event of an incident.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Supporting the team in providing an intelligent delivery function and additional resilience to core activities
* Planning, implementing, and delivering specific work streams and projects
* Resolving faults and issues relating to devices fitted within vehicles or fixed positions and site-specific and specialist kit and equipment
To succeed in this role, you will need experience within Radio Engineering (or a related technical field) and be able to install, integrate, and maintain technical radio or communication systems.
You will also demonstrate excellent communication and team-working skills, as well as a willingness to travel to other sites as required.
