About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to residents in a care home setting, ensuring their comfort and well-being. This position requires effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to implement care plans tailored to individual needs. A driving licence is preferred for those who may need to assist with home care visits.
Responsibilities
* Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support.
* Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
* Support the implementation of care plans by monitoring residents’ health and reporting any changes or concerns to senior staff.
* Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents, adhering to health and safety regulations.
* Document care provided accurately in accordance with company policies and procedures.
* Participate in training sessions and staff meetings to enhance skills and knowledge in healthcare practices.
* Drive to various locations if required for home care services, ensuring safe transport for clients.
Experience
* Previous experience in a care setting is advantageous but not essential as training will be provided.
* Strong communication skills in English are necessary for effective interaction with residents and colleagues.
* Familiarity with IT systems for documentation purposes is beneficial.
* A genuine passion for helping others and a commitment to providing high-quality care is essential.
