Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) Teacher – Secondary School in Southampton, Hampshire

If so, GSL Education are looking for a dynamic and dedicated full-time Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) Teacher to join a secondary school in Southampton. This exciting role offers a competitive salary between £30,000 to £50,000 per year (Depending on experience), and is set to start from Easter 2025 or September 2025. A permanent contract is available upon the successful completion of a probation period. The school welcomes applications from ECTs, experienced teachers, and unqualified teachers with specialist subject knowledge.
Responsibilities of the MFL Teacher:
* Deliver engaging and interactive MFL lessons to Key Stage 3 and 4 students.
* Teach a combination of French, Spanish, or German (depending on expertise).
* Plan, prepare, and assess students’ work, ensuring progress and achievement.
* Support students in developing confidence and fluency in their chosen language(s).
* Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular language activities.
* Attend parents’ evenings, staff meetings, and professional development sessions.
Requirements of the Art & Design Teacher:
* A degree in Modern Foreign Languages or a related subject.
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (preferred but not essential).
* Teaching experience within a secondary school setting.
* Strong communication skills and a passion for inspiring language learning.
* Excellent classroom management and the ability to engage students effectively.
* Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Updated Service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
