In the UK, Safran Seats specializes solely in the First Class and Business Class seating markets for wide-body aircraft, with industrial and engineering teams in Cwmbran and Newport, Wales, and Brackley, England.
The purpose of this role is to provide historical, current, and predictive views of business operations using technologies such as reporting, analytics, dashboard development, predictive analytics, and prescriptive analytics.
Key Responsibilities will include:
1. Design and implement databases, data collection systems, data analysis, and other strategies to improve statistical efficiency and quality. Identify, analyze, and interpret trends and patterns in complex datasets.
2. Administration: Manage existing business reports. Ensure that data is efficiently organized, manage access to it, and ensure compliance with guidelines and regulations. Manage the business current RAD environment.
3. Determine and define business architectures where required.
4. Lead business modeling for optimal reporting purposes.
5. Listen closely to internal/external customers, formulate and clarify their requirements. Manage relations with all stakeholders to ensure that solutions meet operational requirements. Propose different solutions based on contextual analysis and with preference for user-centric systems. Advise customers on the choice of appropriate solutions. Act as an advocate of the chosen solutions and support their rollout process.
6. Manage the BI development requirements, tasks, and release management activities.
Candidate skills:
1. Ability to manage and prioritize stakeholder expectations at all levels ranging from end-user up to C-level.
2. An ability to communicate complex technical/database-related issues to business users.
3. An ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a dynamic and flexible approach, as well as the ability to work under pressure.
4. A collaborative approach to delivery working with various technical and business departments.
5. Good working knowledge of data extraction, data modeling, and data reporting techniques.
6. Good working knowledge of SQL, databases, and Microsoft products.
7. Be able to handle a high degree of multi-tasking.
8. Knowledge of the overall functioning of the information system and its configurations.
9. Present results in a relevant and usable format and explain them in easily understandable terms for decision-makers. Act as a consultant to facilitate decision processes for decision-makers.
10. Data architecture principles, functional and dysfunctional analysis.
11. Data visualization, exploration, and data.
