A Lead Planning Officer / Grade 8 - £42,994 - £46,534 The post being progressed will be determined following completion of the recruitment process. Are you a passionate, proactive and experienced planner looking to make a real difference in local communities? These exciting roles play a key part in the delivery of placemaking outcomes in West Dunbartonshire and will work as part of a collaborative and multidisciplinary team to delivery strategic development. What You’ll Do: Working closely with the Development Management Team Leader you will support the delivery of major and strategic development sites; Process local applications and related consents; Implement local and national planning priorities; Work with Development Planning colleagues, developers, communities and key stakeholders to deliver the aspirations and development opportunities identified within the Local Development Plan; Process enquiries related to suspected breaches of planning control; What We’re Looking For: We are seeking excellent communicators who have a passion for planning and commitment to delivering for the communities of West Dunbartonshire. You’ll need: Experience within a planning background, ideally within a Development Management setting. A relevant planning degree or equivalent. Full membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute is required for the Grade 8 post.
