This post is based at the Diana Princess of Wales Hospital, with responsibility for services delivered in conjunction with the Breast Screening Service based at Hull. We are a busy, friendly department with dedicated teams of radiographers and support workers, maintaining a good working relationship with other modalities, clinicians, and service users. We offer a broad range of Breast Imaging services, actively committed to CPD and PPD, encouraging our staff to widen their scope of practice through local and regional education providers. Main Duties of the Job
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Consultant Radiographic Practitioner in Breast Imaging to join the team within the Pink Rose Suite at the Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital in Grimsby. The post holder will play an essential role in the Breast Imaging Service and should be conversant with all aspects of breast imaging, including ultrasound, interventions, mammography, and mammographic image interpretation. The post will also include stereotactic procedures and open access/family history assessments, with an opportunity to undertake Breast MRI reporting for a suitably trained candidate.
The breast imaging team is dedicated and friendly, undertaking symptomatic breast work for the North East Lincolnshire, North Lincolnshire, and Goole regions, performing approximately 5,500 mammograms and 7,600 ultrasound examinations per year. The team collaborates with the breast surgical team to provide a comprehensive multidisciplinary service and works closely with the Humberside Breast Screening Service.

Person Specification
Education and Qualifications
* Qualifications leading to DCR or BSc in Radiography
* Health Professions Council Registration
* Completion of MSc level in Breast Imaging, including mammographic film reading, interventional procedures of the breast, and breast ultrasound procedures
* Evidence of CPD
* NBSS accreditation
* Teaching Qualification
Occupational Experience
* 5 years post-graduate experience within Breast Imaging in the NHS
* Experience of working at an advanced level within a Breast Screening Unit
* Demonstrable experience of working in a senior decision-making position
* Experience of multi-disciplinary team working
* Evidence of implementing changes in practice
* Experience of managing a clinical service, including training, appraisal, and rotation of staff
* Understanding of NHS targets
* Good working knowledge of relevant legislation, national standards, professional and other guidelines (e.g., IR(ME)R)
* Evidence of independent decision-making skills
* Experience as an independent practitioner
* Experience of handling complaints
