Warehouse Operative/FLT Counterbalance Driver
Role Overview
Carrying out the despatch of goods to meet customer requirements and delivering goods to customer site when required. This role forms part of the Operations team to ensure that items which the client receives and deliver, are completed in the most efficient, cost effective way that ensures a right first-time philosophy.
Responsibilities:-
•Ensure that daily Warehouse tasks are completed within the deadlines set, actioning priorities and any potential issues
•Ensure that deliveries / collections made are on time with our customers / suppliers
•Ensure that all transactions carried out on the company ERP are accurate and that processes are adhered to
•Use of a fork-lift truck and picker, locate stock within the warehouse area in the primary locations and load/unload vehicles to meet demand
•Take a pro-active approach to Health & Safety, identifying any areas of concern to the Warehouse Supervisor
•Meet the daily demand of picking tickets, packing, and dispatching of goods to meet the carrier deadline for delivery to our customers
•Ensure that Quality Management Systems processes are being followed, addressing issues as they arise and highlighting any potential issues to the Warehouse Supervisor
•Covering for Goods Inwards and processing supplied items in accordance with company procedures
•Packing of goods ensuring that these are suitable for delivery into the UK and Export which may need additional packaging for airfreight
•Provide relevant packaging specs to enable the required paperwork to be completed for Export consignments
•Ensure that stock is maintained accurately and that if an items is missing then the Warehouse Supervisor is to be made aware
•Driving of company vehicles must be carried out in accordance with best practice and that speed limits are adhered to at all times
•Look at the most effective way of making customer deliveries to minimize cost to the company
•Looking at continuous improvement of manual handling, stock holding and layout within the Warehouse to ensure we are Lean
•Picking of items for exhibitions and processing of these items to meet deadlines
•Processing of CR returns in accordance with company process
•Responding to emails, telephone, and verbal communications from colleagues or external from the company
Monday to Friday
7am-4pm Monday to Thursday
7am-12pm Fridays
£12.00 per hour
Temp to Perm for the right candidate
Driving licence required for this role with no more than 3 points
