Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult is recruiting an ANALYSIS AND INSIGHTS MANAGER in the UK, to identify and drive the delivery of economic modelling and other analysis requirements to meet business and industry needs.
We are seeking a dynamic and analytical professional to play a crucial role in driving impactful economic analysis and insights. This role is central to identifying and delivering externally funded opportunities while also enabling high-quality, internally-driven research that influences policymakers and industry stakeholders.
Acting as a bridge between business needs and analytical expertise, you will translate industry challenges into actionable analysis requirements. Your work will support thought leadership through forward-looking economic modelling and robust analysis, ensuring our insights drive meaningful impact across the sector.
What will I do?
* Deliver high-quality analysis and insights to internal and external stakeholders while continuously improving project delivery frameworks.
* Translate business needs into actionable tasks for the A&I team, ensuring alignment with broader team objectives.
* Oversee the scoping, approval, and review of externally funded projects, acting as the key reviewer for milestones and deliverables.
* Supervise and support A&I analysts, guiding their day-to-day work and modeling requirements.
* Identify and create opportunities to present A&I team insights to key stakeholders.
What are we looking for?
* A degree or equivalent in a technical, mathematical, scientific or commercial discipline.
* A successful track record in a relevant role in a technical operating environment; or experience of working in a management or strategic consultancy environment.
* Strong financial & economic modelling skills (MS Excel model build and review), preferably with experience in the FAST standard or similar.
* Ability to identify appropriate financial modelling structures for a wide range of issues and striking a balance between standardised and bespoke models.
* Innovation and creative thinking.
* Demonstrable problem-solving ability and ability to deal with conflicting requirements.
* Knowledge of and experience working within the Renewables or Energy environment with appropriate financial background.
* Confidence in communicating effectively in both technical and commercial/business language.
* Needs to be able to make rational and commercially based decisions.
Location
This role can be based at any of our ORE Catapult locations across the UK. This means you have the flexibility to choose the work environment and location that suits you best. A full list of our sites can be found here.
