Genesis Group Homes/Elibrium - House Supervisor JOB SUMMARY: The primary purpose of the position is to directly supervise the operations of Community Residential Services or Individualized Home Supports, or Integrated Community Support Settings, delivery to individuals who have developmental/intellectual, mental health, or physical disabilities. This position ensures that all services are delivered according to Synova Group/ TruHope’s policies and procedures, county contracts, support plan (SP), and all applicable federal, state and county statutes, rules and regulations, and policies. This position also provides direct care to individuals as needed. All duties are subject to policy, procedure and management directives, and may be changed at any time. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervision of DSP’s Supervise day to day operations at the site, ensuring DSP’s deliver services according to Synova Group/ TruHope’s policies and procedures. Monitor all Direct Support Professionals in assessment collection and program implementation. Plan agenda and lead monthly site meeting. Directly supervise and participate in the orientation and training of Direct Support Professionals. Provide performance feedback and coaching to DSP staff as needed. Complete annual performance reviews. Monitor employee compliance training completion to ensure DSP’s meet DHS standards. Manage the schedule, including covering open shifts, based on the needs of the individuals or the home’s staffing budget. Maintain payroll records including timecards, PTO requests, and overnight check-ins. Ensure that all employment standards are met according to federal and state law, and Synova Group/ TruHope’s policies and procedures. House Supervision Directly supervise the prudent spending and documentation of Synova Group/ TruHope’s financial resources, including general budgets, payroll budgets, program accounts and petty cash accounts. Coordinate and directly supervise the provision of nutritionally adequate meals and ensure that food, cleaning, and other supplies in the home are adequate. Coordinate and directly supervise cleaning at the home site to ensure a home-like, attractive appearance both inside and out. Complete monthly site safety checklist, report repair needs, keep sidewalks and steps free of snow and ice, and implement cleaning lists. Maintain all individual records and on-site Synova Group/ TruHope’s records, periodically audit records to assure compliance. WORKING CONDITIONS: The House Supervisor is subject to flexible hours, including split shifts, varied days and times, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and overnights, depending on coverage needs of the site. This position will be cross trained at other sites and expected to cover shifts as necessary. This position includes weekend on-call rotation with other site(s). This position will travel regularly into the community and work in a variety of settings both inside and outside the site and throughout the community. The House Supervisor is subject to frequent interruptions, crisis management, and imposed deadlines. This person is subject to frequent problem-solving activities and has regular contact with individuals, family members, friends, federal, state or county regulatory personnel, other provider personnel, and the general public, who may be hostile or emotionally upset. The position may be subject to physically aggressive individuals and may be exposed to infectious diseases, odor, and dust. JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS: MINIMUM – High school diploma or its equivalent. Three (3) years of experience delivering services to persons with disabilities. REQUIRED PHYSICAL AND DEMONSTRATED ABILITIES – Move intermittently throughout the day. Lift persons or implement required therapeutic interventions, if required. Read, write, and speak English sufficiently to perform the duties. Possess good health to perform the duties. Meet the licensing, contractual, and other mandated requirements of the state and county. Possess a valid driver’s license and access to an insured vehicle. Make independent decisions when circumstances warrant; demonstrate initiative, creative problem-solving, and adaptability. Demonstrate positive demeanor. Follow daily routines while allowing for individual decision-making and flexibility. Operate a computer, calculator, household appliances, fire systems and other necessary equipment. Possess cell phone or maintain adequate phone access in order to allow for staff contact. Demonstrate a working knowledge of Synova Group/ TruHope’s policies and procedures related to services and emergencies. Demonstrate a working knowledge of and implement the site’s Program Abuse Prevention Plan. Demonstrate a working knowledge of assigned individual’s history, skills, program plans, One Page Profile, IAPP, SMA, CSSPA, CSSP and ensure implementation.
