Job Title: Deputy Manager - Children's Homes
Location: Melton Mowbray, UK
Salary: £28,000 - £31,000 base
Working Hours: Full-time, including weekends (according to shift and rota system)
Number of Sleeps Required: Regular sleep-in duties as scheduled
Service: Children’s Home
Service Users: YPs, specific needs and personal plans
Qualifications Required: Level 3 Diploma – Residential Care or NVQ 3 – Caring for Children and Young People
Experience in Years: At least 1 year’s experience or equivalent of work with young people with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties

Responsibilities
* Provide direct care, supervision, and support for young people, including key worker responsibilities.
* Lead the daily management of the home in the absence of the Registered Manager.
* Support and manage staff, assisting in recruitment and training as needed.
* Ensure all entries in young people’s records, diaries, and reports comply with company policies.
* Maintain vigilance for Health and Safety concerns and adhere to safeguarding policies.
* Participate actively in team meetings, professional supervision, and regular appraisals.

This role may involve working across different homes within the organisation to meet business needs.
