About the role…
Our Finance Team is looking for a Management Accountant. In this role, you will be part of our Country Finance Team and responsible for producing monthly management accounts, assisting in year-end audits, producing journals, and supporting project work.
Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, you will collaborate with experienced and knowledgeable senior finance partners & accountants. This is the perfect opportunity for a qualified accountant looking to advance their finance career.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Ensure that balance sheet reconciliations are prepared monthly, with all balances verified and differences investigated.
* Production and posting of key journals including accruals, prepayments, accrued and deferred income.
* Support the commercial finance team with information and performance analysis for local decision-making.
* Develop robust processes and controls to manage risks appropriately in line with Group requirements.
* Assist in producing accurate monthly and quarterly flash results for Financial Planning and Commercial teams.
* Assist in the year-end statutory audit process.
* Other ad hoc projects as required by the Finance Director or Financial Controller.
* Manage the Fixed Asset Register and ensure timely postings on acquisition/disposal of assets.
* Work with Transaction Services (AP/AR/Banking) to facilitate a smooth month-end process.
* Support variance and trend analysis by site, by GL line item.
Candidate Requirements
* Qualified accountant ACCA/CIMA/ACA or a part-qualified accountant qualified by experience.
* Great attention to detail.
* Excellent organisational and communication skills.
* Experienced in Microsoft Excel.
* Ability to adapt and respond to changing priorities.
* Willingness to learn.
* Team player.
