Oswestry School is an independent, co-educational day & boarding school, with an 11-18 Senior School of c.370 pupils and a 4-11 Prep School of c.120 pupils. Located in the ancient town of Oswestry in the county of Shropshire, the school was founded in 1407 and, as such, lays claim to being one of the oldest truly independent schools in the country. It is located in a beautiful corner of Shropshire with easy access to the great outdoors as well as good links to the local town of Shrewsbury and the cities of Chester, Manchester and Birmingham.
Part-time Administration Assistant
Oswestry School is seeking a part-time Administration Assistant to start as soon as possible. This role will be responsible to the Finance Manager with key responsibilities including:
1. Coordination of post and deliveries to the school ensuring porterage is completed as required.
2. Telephone, reception and greeting visitors and contractors to the school.
3. General administration tasks to support the Finance and Estates Department of the school.
The hours of work will be part-time (25 hours per week) working 12.00pm to 5.00pm Monday to Friday, for 52 weeks per year.
Remuneration for this role will be at the current National Living Wage. The successful candidate will need to have a friendly and polite manner, good computer IT skills and a working knowledge of spreadsheets. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and organisational skills are essential.
