Job Title: Residential Children's Home Manager
Location: Wednesbury, West Midlands
About Us:
Ignite pathways is in the process of registering a new home with OFSTED. The home will create a therapeutic environment for up to two children with learning disabilities. We are dedicated to transforming our house into a nurturing home-away-from-home.
We are seeking a Residential Children’s Home Manager who has recent experience managing a well-rated children’s home and meets all OFSTED requirements. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of working with young people with learning disabilities and complex needs.
We also encourage applications from experienced Deputy Managers looking to advance their careers.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage the home to ensure a safe, nurturing environment for children that is compliant with current legislation.
2. Transform the house into a supportive home where children can thrive, with specialised independence plans.
3. Supervise and support staff, ensuring high standards of care are maintained.
4. Quality check all logs and YP Records.
Qualifications and Experience:
1. Level 3/4 diploma in working with children in a residential setting (Required).
2. Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (England) or equivalent qualification (Preferred).
3. A recognised professional qualification relevant to working with children and young people.
4. At least two years of relevant experience in residential care for children within the last five years.
5. A minimum of one year in a supervisory role managing staff in a care setting.
