Solar Project Manager—Ground-mounted solar (1-15mW)

MDE is recruiting a project manager to oversee the delivery of ground-mounted solar PV projects; typically, these range from 1 to 15 mW. We require someone with experience of delivering projects of similar scale.
The ideal candidate will be someone with 5+ years delivering solar projects across the UK, ideally at least 2 years in ground-mounted projects. Must have delivered ground-mounted projects in the UK. Being electrically qualified would be preferable, but not essential. Projects can be based across the UK so willingness to travel for project and stakeholder meetings is required.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage end-to-end delivery of commercial solar PV projects, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
* Oversee project budgets, schedules, and resources to meet deadlines and financial targets.
* Coordinate with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure clear communication and seamless execution.
* Conduct risk assessments, implement mitigation strategies, and ensure adherence to health and safety regulations.
* Provide leadership and direction to project teams, fostering collaboration and high performance.
* Prepare detailed project reports and updates for stakeholders.
* Drive continuous improvement in processes and project outcomes.
Requirements

* Strong understanding of electrical systems, solar PV technology, and construction practices.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and teams effectively.
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations and industry standards.
* Full UK driving licence.
