The role of QS is key to the company’s future development and success in delivering projects. You will demonstrate broad commercial skills and a strong background, whilst understanding the commercial drivers, risk profiles and key success factors for Clients procuring construction/civils works.
As quantity surveyor you will be responsible but not limited to the following:
1. Managing multiple projects at once.
2. Ensuring that the financial aspects and impact of a contract are clear to management.
3. Providing detailed financial reports i.e. budget monitoring, cost & value etc.
4. Ensure the maintenance of auditable records relating to all relevant aspects of the company’s operations, including those pertinent to specific projects.
5. Have clear responsibility for the management of cost and value.
6. Provide accurate progress reporting for site works.
7. Ensure the effective management of all projects under your control is carried out in accordance with client requirements, current legislation and industry standards.
8. Performing risk and value management.
9. Identifying, analysing and developing responses including commercial risks.
10. Devise accurate, efficient commercial systems in a bid to support and improve current structure.
11. Meet all deadlines in a proactive and forthcoming manner to include all internal weekly/monthly commercial reporting meetings.
Relevant Qualifications:
1. Relevant degree level qualification.
2. CSCS Competency.
3. Full UK Driving Licence.
Experience:
1. Seven years’ experience in the performance of duties outlined within this job description.
2. Proficient in all Microsoft office excel, word, project.
3. Excellent contractual knowledge desirable.
