We are looking for a Quality Compliance Specialist to join our QC Team. Working Monday to Friday, office hours.
Responsibilities
* Deliver the QC testing program for the QC Bakery and Analytical Lab. Understand the testing requirements, allocate resource accordingly and deliver results to the business.
* Lead the bakery and lab-based QC technicians in compliance to QC requirements through training and education with support of QC Manager.
* Utilise site quality and compliance systems, follow documented procedures and support manufacturing operations.
* Lead investigations for complaints/failures to identify root cause, create reports recommending corrective and preventative actions and implement accordingly.
* Upholding the company’s strong health and safety culture both for yourself and within the QC team.
* Developing ingredient functionality knowledge through working closely with NPD and Manufacturing and well as external bodies where appropriate.
* Facilitate part approvals by working cross-functionally with NPD to ensure QC’s test bake procedures are set up prior to implementation.
* Investigate actions from both internal and external audits, identify root cause, recommend corrective and preventative actions and implement accordingly.
* Ability to produce traceability and mass balance within the time frame for internal and external requirements.
* Deputise for Quality Manager where appropriate.
* Cover Technical Assistant’s duties when required.
Essential skills
* Strong experience in FMCG/manufacturing environment.
* Proven ability to effectively lead teams.
* Previous QC experience.
* Functional knowledge of BRC requirements.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data & drive continuous improvement initiatives.
* Proven experience in investigating customer complaints and non-conformances, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective and preventative actions.
* Familiarity with risk management principles and methodologies.
* Experience with documentation control and record-keeping best practices.
* Proficiency in project management, including the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
